| Our Junior Firefighter Program was established in 2009. We are proud to posess the capabilties to allow the young men and women of our community to participate with our department. This program gives our young people the opportunity to learn the aspects of fire service. They are required to follow the standard operating guidelines of their organization. These guidelines encase areas such as eithics, morals, respect, grades, behavior, and citizenship. They have classroom and practical applications for their training, and also are invited to train with the senior firefighters. They attend regular business meetings, work sessions, fundraising and most all functions the department is involved in. Members of the Junior Fire Team, once reaching 18 years of age, are eligable to become full members of our department. There are many different benefits being a member of the team. We, the members of the New Deal Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., realize that our young people are the future of our department. If you have a young person between the ages of 13 - 18 years of age, and they are interested in assisting their community, feel free to contact us for more information.
